Stakeholder dialogue: exploring ways to enhance transparency in the business legislation

On November 7, PESI organized a roundtable in Baku to explore the ways of enhancing transparency requirements in the business legislation.

The roundtable was held in the frame of “Strengthening Transparency Requirements in the Business Legislation” Project to present the results of the assessment undertaken to analyze the legislative acts and normative documents governing the business activity in the area of public procurement, export and investment promotion, privatization of state property.

The meeting participants further discussed the recommendation package developed with a view to increasing transparency in the relevant legislative acts.The event was followed with questions and answers.

The event was attended by the government officials, OGP members, independent experts, representatives of civil society and international organizations.

Funded by the Council on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, the Project aims to assess the legislative acts and normative documents governing the business activity and develop recommendations geared towards improving the compliance with transparency requirements in the business legislation.
