Farid Malikov attends East-Invest Annual Conference

PESI Board Member Farid Malikov partook at the East-Invest Annual Partners Conference in Vilnius 28 November 2013.

The final East Invest conference gathered 85 business representative organisations from the EU, Turkey and the six Eastern Partnership countries to review the results from the last three years and look forward into possibilities for future cooperation. The event kicked off with the opening session, contributed by high level speakers of the Lithuanian government, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank. This was complemented with presentations of the project facts and figures, including main achievements and investment climate in the EaP countries, and results of the twinning programmes undertaken between EaP and the EU business support organisations.

East Invest is a regional investment and trade facilitation project for the economic development of the Eastern Neighbourhood region, launched in the framework of the European Eastern Partnership Initiative. The programme has supported nearly 150 different activities that facilitate trade and investment between both sides, targeting business support organisations and SMEs.
