PESI represented in EaP Business Forum

PESI Board Member Farid Malikov attended the 2nd Eastern Partnership Business Forum in Vilnius on 28 November 2013.

The goal of the Forum was to develop and present recommendations of business communities on the future development of the Eastern Partnership, specifically its economic and business dimensions. The Forum addressed strategic economic policy issues ranging from the further enhancement of trade, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Areas (DCFTA), to foreign direct investment, boosting of SMEs, and developing infrastructure for business success. The Forum also provided a platform for experience sharing, establishing business contacts and discussing investment opportunities and joint projects implemented by entrepreneurs and governments within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.

Hosted by the Lithuanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists and BUSINESSEUROPE, the Forum brought together over five hundred participants, including high-level government officials, business delegations and media representatives from EaP countries and the European Union.
